Carved from a wind-fallen piece of black cherry wood. The underside is decorated with flutes which run around the stylised foot and terminate together at each point of the bowl. The bowl is carved from a blank composed of a third section of a log, creating a rim which comes together in a pointed upper surface, giving the bowl something of the look of a long ship.
