Carved from a piece of locally sourced silver birch, over the course of some months, this green painted and polished bowl sits on a sculpted underside consisting of eight intricately carved feet. Raised ridges connect the corners of the bowl to the underside carving. Layers of white, teal and green milk paint are built up, burnishing between each coat, to produce a subtly mottled colour finish and then wax is used to polish to a shine. The staggered feet give the bowl a slight sense of motion when standing.
